Nonprofit Management Consulting Change happens - are you ready for it? Have you lost your director unexpectedly? Are you managing the current economic effects of COVID-19?Do you have the right Board to meet organizational needs? How is the team handling transition? Are you just launching your nonprofit, or been around for 30 years and need some maintenance? As a former Executive Director, Board Member and nonprofit fundraising professional who has led teams through change, I understand what it takes to manage transition, lead Board development efforts, act as a liaison between staff and Board, and assess funding sustainability. I identify gaps and opportunities, create solutions, focus on key initiatives and help keep the day-to-day operations on track without losing stride, In addition, I am available to facilitate Board retreats, provide leadership coaching, assess and identify staffing and organizational needs, and build succession plans.
Grant and Proposal Writing Who is handling this in your organization? The executive director? Multiple staff? Do you have a "grant management plan" in place to ensure you maximize your efforts? I specialize in writing grant proposals to corporations, foundations and governmental agencies, while also developing specific proposals to major donor prospects. As requested by clients, I will write grants, attend grant meetings, support funder site visits, assess evaluation efforts, perform research tailored to the needs of the organization and assist with your grant strategy and tracking needs. If you are looking for ongoing grant writing services, I can be hired for a monthly fee to handle all grants needs, or I can be hired for specific projects. *I work on a fee basis, not on a contingency or commission basis, following ethical and professional standards in grant writing.
Fundraising Planning My experience has shown me that non-profits can raise money and awareness through diverse revenue streams - individuals, special events, corporate sponsorship, planned giving, year-end campaigns, earned income - to name a few. This can be done effectively, if done well. Fundraising planning involves identifying your goal and key objectives to meet the goal, and strategies and tactics to meet the objectives. Ultimately, who does what, when. This planning not only takes the guesswork out of fundraising, but also identifies sponsor and volunteers opportunities, discovers untapped revenue streams, builds strong teams with clear expectations, and identifies resource gaps - months in advance of your event, initiative, or campaign.
Project Management Maybe you read through this and felt like no "one" service fits. Maybe there is something that you want to accomplish, but lack full resources to pull it off. Adding an experienced, professional resource allows for flexibility, creativity and getting individuals or teams engaged in a critical need. Much of my career has been focused on "special projects" and I thrive in this environment. Let's talk and see if there is a fit.
Business Development As a fundraiser, I understand the need to identify and secure funding to fulfill the mission of an organization. Not unlike a for profit identifying investors and customers to meet business goals. While my recent experience is working with non-profits, I have worked in the for profit sector in event planning, marketing and lead generation. I also believe that "fundraising" is a universal word and understanding the strategies behind retention rates, prospecting and cultivation are transferable to growing organizations.
Fee for Service I'm experienced, creative, effective, and work to best meet your needs. My fee for service is flexible depending on the type, amount and length of service requested. My main goal is to be an asset to your organization, not an expense, and for my cost to be a good return on investment for your organization. I offer a free, one hour consultation where we can discuss your specific interests and see if I can meet your needs. Please contact me for a free consultation.
