An experienced consultant with a demonstrated history of strengthening nonprofits. Skilled in providing organizations with grant writing, fundraising strategy, organizational development, project management and leadership coaching services.
I've served in a variety of roles over the past 20 years including fundraiser, executive director, event planner, marketer, board member and volunteer. I thrive on helping people and organizations achieve their vision.
My experience has taught me how to mobilize and work with nonprofit teams and Boards, how to move effectively through transition, and how to successfully secure financial resources.
I have worked in all facets of fundraising, understand nonprofit management principles, and have knowledge of program development, implementation, and evaluation. I specialize in grant writing, fundraising, and project management which are essential in meeting strategic goals.
Much of my career in Colorado has been in the nonprofit sector where I was a fundraiser for the National MS Society, Colorado Chapter. This position led me to a Senior Management Consultant role with the Home Office of the National MS Society (Denver), allowing me to gain a better understanding of nonprofit management and fundraising best practices. I then served as Executive Director of Partners Mentoring Youth for over seven years which further broadened my leadership and management skills. Before my nonprofit career, I operated my own event planning and marketing business in Minneapolis for several years, working on projects such as Transportation Logistics for SuperBowl's XXXII-XXXV, DirectTV/Sting Tour lead generation, Target Women's Expo, Swedish Royal Visit, BI Worldwide-Account Management and Oldsmobile's 100th Anniversary.
My experience in both nonprofit and for-profit sectors, including Partners Mentoring Youth, the National MS Society, and BI Worldwide, provides a wide perspective in fundraising and sales, team development, and organizational management.
Born and raised in Minneapolis, MN and a graduate of the University of WI-Madison, I landed in Colorado in 2000. I currently live in Fort Collins with my wife, two children and two dogs.
